We’re thrilled to announce our collaboration with A|R (Addison/Ripley Fine Art) as they embark on an exciting new chapter with their official relaunch and exhibition series on November 7th and 8th in Washington, D.C. This milestone not only marks the gallery’s evolution into a new era of collaboration and creativity—it also showcases how The Fine Art Ledger’s digital platform is helping shape the future of gallery practice, provenance, and collector engagement.

Four Decades of Vision, Now Powered by Innovation

For over forty years, Addison/Ripley Fine Art has stood at the heart of Washington, D.C.’s contemporary art community—championing artists whose work challenges convention and expands visual language. With its relaunch as A|R, the gallery reintroduces itself as a space for innovation, transparency, and community building—values now deeply integrated through its adoption of The Fine Art Ledger’s blockchain-based art management platform.

Through this partnership, A|R is pioneering a new digital standard for enriched  provenance, authentication, and exhibition storytelling. Every artwork in the relaunch exhibition will be securely registered on The Fine Art Ledger, giving collectors verifiable digital records of ownership, exhibition history, and artist documentation—instantly accessible via a mobile phone.

Redefining the Gallery Experience

The relaunch reflects a broader shift in how galleries and collectors interact in the digital era. Under the new A|R identity, the space will function not only as an exhibition venue but also as a technology-enabled hub for collaboration. Using The Fine Art Ledger’s suite of tools, A|R will be able to:

  • Create interactive digital catalogues for exhibitions, linking physical works with verified digital records.

  • Offer secure and enriched provenance tracking for collectors, enhancing trust and transparency in every transaction.

  • Engage audiences through immersive digital storytelling, connecting the artistic process, documentation, and exhibition context in real time.

On November 7th, A|R will unveil this innovative model with an opening event featuring a curated selection of artists, with works supported by The Fine Art Ledger’s integrated provenance records. The following evening, November 8th, the gallery will host a panel discussion on collaboration and technology in the contemporary art ecosystem, where members of both A|R and The Fine Art Ledger teams will share insights into how digital tools are transforming relationships between artists, curators, and collectors.

The Fine Art Ledger + A|R: Shaping the Future of Art Provenance

At The Fine Art Ledger, we’re proud to play a foundational role in this transformative moment for A|R. Our shared commitment to transparency, digital innovation, and meaningful engagement is redefining how art is experienced, valued, and preserved.

By integrating our platform into its daily operations and exhibition strategy, A|R becomes one of the innovative U.S. galleries to fully embed blockchain-based provenance and digital asset management into its curatorial practice—offering artists and collectors alike a new level of confidence and connection.

We’ll be on-site throughout the relaunch events, capturing insights, images, and stories from this groundbreaking collaboration. Follow along as we highlight the artworks, technologies, and conversations driving this next evolution in the art world.
